Final Countdown

In 48 hours I will be sitting in JFK airport during my 6 hour layover, waiting to board my plane to Spain. The only thing is, I haven't packed a single thing. With the exception of a beach towel and some washcloths, my suitcases sit empty in my hallway, waiting to be stuffed to the brim with whatever I think I will want to wear at any point during spring semester. I hate to perpetuate gender stereotypes, but I am a young women, and the very idea of condensing 4 months of my life into 2 suitcases is a daunting and overwhelming task. So instead, I have decided to use my precious time left with free wireless internet access by starting this blog.

Let me start by explaining that I don't consider myself a blogger. This semester will be the only one during which I will attempt to update the world with my most recent adventures. I would not be doing this if I did not think it was the most effective way to share my experience with my family and close friends.

So, in just 3 short days, I will be arriving in Valencia, Spain to spend the next four months. This semester should definitely be one to remember, and I hope everyone following my blog will enjoy doing so. I will try to update it as often as I can (depending on my access to the internet), and I look forward to telling everyone about it in person when I get back.

Now, I really must go pack.
